Rotunda Pillow/Cushion

This hand illustrated pillow/cushion features the Rotunda at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, along with the Lawn and the Pavilions over which it presides from the north, the Rotunda was, and remains, the center of Thomas Jefferson's Academical Village in Charlottesville, Virginia. Modeled after the Pantheon in Rome, the Rotunda is beloved by all University students and by people the world over. The pillow, created in watercolor and brush marker, is perfect for the history lover in your life--or for any University of Virginia or Thomas Jefferson enthusiast you may happen to know! The back of the pillow/cushion features my hand painted Chippendale pattern (in black and white), which was inspired by the railings surrounding the terrace at Jefferson's home just a few miles away from the Rotunda in Charlottesville, VA.
